Cool. I wonder how many variations on these stories exist in the old texts?
If more Rosicrucian texts were readily available, for instance, might one
find interesting parallels? We hear in "The Mind of P" that Pynchon may
have been dressing drag to hide out and research arcane literature sold in
off-the-main-street bookstores
