a former NYTimes BR editor reached out to have TRP review Marquez's Love In the Time of Cholera. Wouldn't
it be doubly fitting if the new editor got Marquez to review this one? (I hear his health is not great though).
 
I would like an International Big Name, wouldn't you? I don't think Lessing or Roth review but like that. Grass?
old friend Ian McEwan? (conflict but nothing new) Martin Amis? Pamuk? Milan Kundera? the hot Hilary Mantel? 
Coetzee....yes! and he does review. Oates would probably get him sold some......
 
how "bout 'been reading him since high school" Paul Thomas Anderson? (too much conlict of interest fer sure). 
 
how about "just a mystery writer"--nods toward Jochen---like Elmore Leonard? Ian Rankin? (who wrote his thesis
on him)....or someone like
