TP and War Tax resistence

Elizabeth but not Donald Barthelme. Not Philip Roth. One can see the Cornell presence and it is so
New York-centric (of course, NY always dense with writers). At least a couple major editors for big
NY houses.

One might have some fun tracing how it got circulated.

So you've heard that TP signed onto this writer protest back in '67, but have you ever really looked at the list? I mean who's there and who's not.

Though there are writers missing from the list who you might expect to see (Kesey, etc.) there are folk you might not have thought of e.g. Kirk and Faith Sale as well as Candida Donadio. Curious to see all their names together there, isn't it? Oh, apparently Joan Baez (another one not far from TP's social network) did the tax protest in 64.

The act was no small
 one in 1967.
