Agree, and Pynchon does look at Political activities as being ruled by
forces Politics does not know.
9/11 is perfect for Pynchon because all the arrows point to the same
suspects he's always pointed to. Remember, however, how big a role the
Bush Dynasty has played in the Cold War and the Post-Glasnost era. And
Prescott Bush by virtue of his role in the expansion of I.G. Farben
had a big role to play in both WWII and, behind the scenes, in
Gravity's Rainbow.
