I think that would be fine.  Actually it would be really cool if
everybody just used title chapter page

eg a subject line like  " BEER ch 187 page 13 " would make it obvious
to those who've only read through ch 183 that they should eschew the
post temporarily, unless they want to learn plot developments from a
commentator rather than from the author - right?

so actually even somebody who's hosting the last chapter could post
now if they felt like it, using that guideline!

temporal bandwidth, a way to increase it, eh?
