Since the late 1950s, Marquette Libraries' Department of Special
Collections has been home to the original manuscripts of J.R. R.
Tolkien's beloved classics, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. The
department will conduct a public showing of selected original
manuscripts from the collection on the following Friday afternoons
through the end of 2014. These showings are open to members of the
campus community and to the general public. They are not suitable for
children under the age of ten. No reservations are necessary. No
photography is permitted.
