Repeat: current Atlantic mag has an ambiguous piece on bond's Soullessnes.
I heard that when Geo Packer was announced as NBA winner last week for his terrif THE UNWINDING, Bond music was played as he walked up. BAD music choice.
at the Carnegie Art Museum Internationale exhibit currently showing, there is a very interesting work ( by a Talyn Smith, I think) using Bond. Three walls of small black-matted and framed photographs called Birds of the West Indies....this is the name of the book by a naturalist from whom Ian Fleming got the name "James Bond" . The pictures are of guns, cars planes and.....Te Bond girls.....but photographed recently so they are much older in some cases.....
Artists words about concern fantasy vs. reality and the virtually ONLY interchangeable items needed to explain the character James Bond....
I loved it..
