The Wiki for BE is quite limited, though obviously, like our reading
here and readings elsewhere,  under construction. The Key to the
novel, as far as I can tell, is the relationships, especially within
the family, Maxine's family. Her children, her x-husband, her parents,
sister...etc, though her "friends" and "lovers" and business
associates matter, BE,  like VL,is a family affair.
