BE: as wonky as it gets

Anybody note we only enter 'pure' DA once, at the outset? Each
subsequent visit, DA is corrupted by outside influence / Ice, even to
the extent that the Archer is speaking or acting as a sock puppet f/
voices unknown. The number of incidences of sock puppetry is up for
grabs: P would seem to be suggesting that the corruption of DA is
analagous to the state of Fact online. The deeper you delve, the
murkier distinctions become. Are we actually hearing Lucas on the
bridge, or an imposter? The Archer, or whomever later impersonates
Ice? Is it the voice we hear at the end of ch.35, the voice we've
never heard in the waking world? We don't get a stress reading for
this anonymous agency. It could be the voice of Igor's bottle of
vodka, for all the Proof we're given. There's an empty space at the
table, set seder style, a Borgesian gap in reality or Aybss wherein
certainty ceases to be the point. "You want secular cause and effect,"
but it gets to where Maxine's dreams & that of the Machine are
indistinguisable.
