BE: definitions of innocence (chs. 31, 40)

Unless he means that innocence and guilt end with death -- not a very interesting point -- this is a bizarre statement.  If he had said there are no innocent dead, it would be a cruel statement, but arguable.

No flies on P. Just me, or does the author seem, ah,
uncharacteristically angry in this particular outing?
