Should Thomas Pynchon play Grand Theft Auto V?

No. The answer is no. GTAV is absolutely not a derision of virtual worlds
it *is* a virtual world, tho' to me (as I have post'd here) it is a
temptation.
That said, it has not escaped me that they both were released on the same
day. In my opinion the Graphics engine in GTAV still hasn't caught up to
Pynchon, or any good author for that matter. And, I pray, the graphics
engines of the future never will, even if they seem to (cough Oculus Rift
cough)
