Game Over for Art?

Is objecting to frequent references to contemporary "low" (or at least
non-"high") culture and gustatory delectation any more to the point of
whether art (who's thinking of giving up exporting to concentrate on
importing, or vice versa) is present in BE than the Pulitzer Committee's
objections to GR's frequent obscenity were?
