Thanks for the recommendations, Bekah - she's been on my "must read" list for along time, now higher on the list than ever, obviously.

The Beggar Maid and Too Much Happiness are both excellent - Sophia Kovalevsky (remember her? - Russian/German/Swedish mathematician) is the protagonist of the story "Too Much Happiness."
