Munro's New Yorker editor, Deborah Treisman said on PBS News Hour last eve that this story will be
reprinted in next week's edition.

I only hope that IT is not the one she is 'reduced' to.....I like some others more (but I know it may be
because I flinch at the situation and pains in this one.

"Her work  invents its own grammar"....I think I will steal that line to start my BLEEDING EDGE hosting.

Smile, y'all. It is true of great writers.

When he’s good, he’s so very good. Don’t be put off by Yet Another “Our Chekhov.” He chooses the right story and deftly highlights the right qualities in it to say more than I would have thought possible in 1300 words.
