NP Donna Tartt review / Pynchon mention

I've read her two priors. The Secret History was excellent, intelligent with just the right challenge, a campus scenario with lots of

The Little Friend was just a kind of spooky neighborhood thing - kind of creepy and without the complexity of the themes which stood out in The Secret History - I was soooo disappointed.
I'll be getting The Goldfinch probably the week it comes out - Oct. 22 - .
