I'll take this association and offer my simplistic one: Gabriel is The Announcing Angel in all three monotheistic religions.
in BE he announces ICE.....deadly shit.....

Okay - so I'll do an oppositional here and suggest that Gabriel is an archangel to another god - a lower god if you will. Satan's archangel - for the purposes of BE.
