Real estate, that NYC topic. Expensive real estate, that horror from Inherent Vice...that real world
admission that Henry George is in the dustbin of history. Progress and poverty indeed. 
We know one place the preterite were spotted in early BE. Scavenging the UWS streets for redeemable bottles.
And unsheltered. Is that the only sight of the preterite in a money-built city like NYC?

Even Maxine has the disease;  she who talks an expenses/retainer check down from $5,000 to 
$500......

What does all this say about her, as the school textbooks will say one day. Maybe.
