NSA vs Stasi

Wow. This site offers a visualisation of the total space that would be
required were the NSA to print out all of the data it's collected and
compares it to the number of filing cabinets the Stasi had.

Spoiler: NSA's tally is sliiiiiightly bigger.

If printed out, it would require around 17 million km² of cabinets.
The total US area is under 10 million km².

Although I'm sure you can borrow some of our space if you need it,
since it's been revealed that the Australian government has happily
been allowing NSA access to all of our data too.
