page 1: "drifts into a pick" I take to be basketball terminology. I believe that a pick is when a person moves into a position to block an opposing player, as a friendly player has just enough room to move past you. Someone with more b-ball lore might be more precise than I.

> page 6: "become Angela Lansbury" -- this should be Jessica Fletcher, no? Let me add that Lansbury played a career-defining role in "The Manchurian Candidate" (1962).

for me,"Angela Lansbury" did better than "Jessica Fletcher" would, evoking both references.
