Money, money, money, Toilets everwhere, shit, money and The Word,  a smells expert ( as in ATD who helps Lew by toilet-reading)...New York in Bleeding Edge overtly stinks of money, money, money and it is the source of the crime.

Sick people. Mentally sick.  Everywhere. In New York, Borderlines from all over the world, all those other textual indications John Bailey listed show something of what the author believes about....the world. Globally.

And everyone? everyone but the kids (and maybe the dead man?) seeing in media memes, talking in sit com, and pop culture allusions........

Pace to those who dislike when I purport to say something about what P likes---or, more lit crit-expressed, his vision of
human beings but when a novel is overtly expressing this kind of sickness, we need some kind of take on what the author thinks healthy.

And, all of the above is why the book is so satiric; why we have to distrust---until we think through---what most of the characters say (Is true).
