Stumbled across this, looking for Phyllis Diller footage. This appears  
to be Diller's lucky break, giving her good early exposure and a  
thumbs up from Groucho. Somewhat recessive George [later "Fang"] turns  
out to be a Field Manager for Rocketdyne with a hobby of using his  
bulldozer to level mountaintops. The answer to the final question is  
Ghana. Looks like Phyllis always had "that laugh." Very Pynchonian:
