No mention of the use of the phrase Against the Day by Hoffman during his wedding speech?
Or of the reincarnation allusion to the Seige of Paris incident also from Against the Day?
Or the C of L49 possible allusion (which I have to look up in my own jottings or see the movie again for?)
 
What P. sez about charisma and the Hoffman character....
 
And, I will challenge, 'cause Anderson does in his own words about the movie, the 'reduction' of Hoffman too literally to 
Hubbard.....Anderson wants him to be more general.....
