Speaking of what has been overlooked by the conspiracy crowd at P-L, how
about logic and the facts? The false debate between interventionists and
isolationists ignores the facts because the US has intervened, is supplying
monies and arms to the conflict, has troops in Turkey, is the most
important nation on the humanitarian aid side of he conflict and so on. So,
the argument is about WMD. How can the world stop the use of chemical
weapons in the region? And more specifically, and easier, because there is
a difference here, as there was in Iraq, how can the world stop the use of
WMD in civil conflicts, stop a group from using WMD, chemical weapons in
these cases, to terrorize civilians, to break their resistance to
oppression, to put down civil and just political insurrections?

One way, a proven method, is to use the overwhelming power of the US
military. The US has the ability, if not the will, to prevent an attack by
the Syrian government.

But we still don't know if the Syrian Government used WMD on civilians.

Once we know this, logic says we need to act.
