The first few pages strike me as IV part II, not my favorite either. The continual frantic conversations are exhausting.
We now return to our regularly-scheduled reread of GR (the Penguin Great Books of the 20th Century edition, which oddly has just slightly different pagination than the original).

Hi all
I will be removing myself from the BE discussions and from the list in general for now. I realize many of you are liking Pynchon's new book and more power to you. I won't bore you with my disappointment with it nor beguile you with my initial enthusiasm. But after getting through 100 pgs or so, I realize that Pynchon's late direction is not something I'm willing to follow at this point in time.
You are a wonderful group of crazies. Keep it up
much love
Rich
