Callery pear tree

[Ben Canard]

A few months back, someone made the connection between the callery pear
trees in the opening pages  of BE and the one pulled out of the World Trade
Center:

I can't find the message in the archives. Nice catch.  The reviewers, as
far as I've seen, haven't discussed it.
