I disagree in re: accesibility. IV isn't terribly interesting to me
(lit-games aside) b/c it's Yet Another White Male with trivial
attitudes toward sexuality. While that may be period authentic, I
wouldn't know, beyond the tales my folks told me, but after 4 reads my
feeling is Gordita Beach isn't a world that offers much to the reader
seeking novelty. It's P-lite in altogether too many respects, and
potentially misleading as a first read. "Genre schtick? Is this all P.
has to offer?" Either CoL49, VL or BE strike me as better entry
points; they suffer fewer issues as regard gender & sexuality and so
are more liable to attract a wider range of readers...
