The lyrics' nonsensicality is all the more well-employed by Chase,
then, aren't they? Given what I was saying about the american need for
a funhouse mirror to wax introspective into. Does this play into any
of what P's driving toward? Have yet to finish BE so I dunno., but
since Rocky's playing a cultural self-parody to mess with the help
(just as he does it to amuse Maxine), it would seem analagous to
real-life ex-Maf playing type in a teevee series interested in
deconstructing fictional stereotypes (all the while conforming to
those stereotypes by feeding our melting-pot spillover fantasies of
newer, more loathsome criminality-- all these refractions & related
distractions informing the American delusion called Success, or at
least Getting By). Wotta parenthesis!
