Bleeding Edge - A Rolling Assessment

Of the beauty-in-the-dungheap variety, large passages.  I've always admired
his eye for decay & squalor.  But in the larger, windswept poetic sense of
V, MD, AtD, or GR, not so much.  Maybe I'm just not a New Yorker, so I'm
not seeing it?  The pear tree scene of ch. 1 and Maxine's intro to the
virtual spectacle of DeepArcher are the only parts that have resounded in a
painterly way.

That said, I'm dead center of the novel now & have had to re-assess my
gripe about the sexy yuks:  there's a bit where Maxine does a double-take
that is absolutely priceless, in the wake of a sexy scene which, while not
My Thing, sez P. still has that particular knack.
