Nice to see my unintended irony got some witty traction.
 
I did mean that the six bestsellers before it were not, it seemed to me, worth even taking seriously as possible 'literature".
 
I did want to also indicate that such a book could be "commercial' despite the publishing world's binary
distinctions between 'commercial' and 'literary' fiction. The distinction is real verbally.
