NP: The Prisoner

The Prisoner, #6, is in a constant relentless fight to hold on to his
personal identity, to not get broken down into accepting his loss of
freedom, and thus becoming Their #6. It is a much larger issue than
consumerism. It about an individual's soul resisting assimilation, and thus
personal death. And the fact that #1 is revealed in the end to be #6 says
that it is at heart an internal struggle more than external.
