Sleepwalking out of guilt? Fear

So is Pynchon a Dante? Is guilt, a revisionist project now in Germany, his
theme? Revenge or Remembrance? Forgive but not to forget? Is that possible?
Or must we, after most of those who remember are dust, use the art of
claiming, and claim it? Abandon all hope of ever exiting with the truth?
Are we all lawyers and spinners of saucers, jugglers of artifacts,
hodgepodgers of scrps? Scribblers in the attics of mad minds once in
fashion, now buried in the basements of the academies?

To sleep, ah, to walk, the talk, yeah, there is the hub, and round we go,
crowds in the ring....one I knew and cried....You!....that doth make liars
of us all.
