Coyotenoia

Just reading Adam Gorightly's "The Shadow over Santa Susana", a rather 
speculative account of the lives and times of Charlie Manson and his Family.

The paranoia/awareness bit is also in Ed Sanders' book, I seem to remember.

On contemplating Death Valley, Manson said: "[The coyote is] always in a 
state of total paranoia and total paranoia is total awareness."

He called this state of mind "Coyotenoia."
