Wow! A Carter Family member! Very cool!
Just last night I was watching a talk given by Christopher Hitchens
and he remarked how, when he hung out with Borges in 77, "the Master"
was very much enamored of Pinochet (a stylish gentleman) and hated
Peron (a canfinflero, or pimp), and how, despite being totally blind,
knew exactly where to direct Hitchens in his library to find a copy of
the Kipling book from which he had Hitchens read him a selection of
poetry (in Hitchens' wonderful voice, Kipling must sound awesome).
Anyway, just sharing.
