Resisting Grace

Yeah....that old Protestant Ethic contains, as notion, that we work very hard to prove we are saved. 
how do we reconcile?...

So if we accept that sloth ain't good, we next have to ask, Sloth versus What? 

We all need breaks now and then.  Sloth must mean taking too many breaks.  Some one behind that word holds a whip.
