Folks -- I hardly ever post here, and even so it's been quite a while ( though I've been a persistent reader of what's thrown up here for the better part of a decade ). So, hopefully, you'll forgive me this one shamelessly self-interested promotion:

Knopf has a contest running on their Murakami Facebook page where the top 5 vote-getters will win a signed edition of the author's forthcoming book. I sure would be super grateful to any and all who would take the time to vote for me ( and you don't have to be on Facebook; I am not, myself ):

I don't stand a chance owning a signed book by P., but thought I'd do what I could for another of my favorite authors, because I sure as hell can't afford to buy one.
