(np) Schmitt reviews

I couldn't help but click on "The Nomos of the Earth" link, because I
mistakenly read it "The Nommos of the Earth". It is interesting to note
that the word nomos comes from the Greek for law, that the Greeks got so
much from Egypt, and that the Sirian Nommos were indeed the teachers, and
lawgivers, of mankind.
The reviewer says: "This book contains what must be some of the most
hilarious assertions in the history of jurisprudence."
Schmitt wrote The Nomos of the Earth during the second war, while Griaule
and Dieterlen were so patiently hanging out in the Saharan sticks, so he
didn't know any better, but the hilarious reviewer might know better these
days than to think things stop, or begin, with the Greeks. Christ himself,
after all, is symbolized by a fish, and his big meanie Jealous father was a
bit before the Greeks supposedly first began, and curiously a bit after the
"Egyptians" supposedly appear to have split.
What was actually pretty funny though was I was curious what the great
googlemind had to say about the Nomos, see if it could manage to be in the
ballpark of correctness, and I was delighted for a moment that it had
nothing to say about interstellar amphibians but everything about German
watches. The wicked thing is that the style of the Nomos watches, thin
flat and wide, resembles the watches that the Sumerian "gods" wore:

I actually learn from books and not websites (I have never read a blog, as
there is nothing more absurd than human opinion), the above website just
happened to be the first one I randomly clicked on when I quickly googled
"Sumerian pictures of aliens," knowing I'd easily find that photo with that
search. I'm sure that's an Assyrian or Akkadian relief or carving, but a
similar picture can be found amongst the earliest Sumerians. He doesn't
look very amphibious though, does he. When I morph into an amphibian, or
more fishy, fishier, I'm always amphibious, I become distinctly flipperous.
Wait, isn't there actually, pictures of him with a fish costume on? Oh
right, of course, when he becomes Oannnes named by the Greek Babylonian
Berossus (who is similar, curiously, to *Dagon*):

I don't, personally, necessarily believe such things as UFOs, simply
because there's something way more deep and superintense going on than
light objects hopping about in the Phoenix sky. For example, while objects
like Saturn's Phoebe are obviously manufactured, as is the Moon, and the
entire solar system (you don't actually believe that babbling hoary hoax
about the planets being built by a random coagulation of dust by gravity,
do you), and pulsars are obviously communication devices, and there are
reverse white holes right next to black holes, none of those things are
actually there, there, anyway. They never were, and they never shall be.
