Girkin/Strelkov's statement is certainly bizarre. However, and you may
not believe this, there are at least slightly mitigating circumstances.

found in the wreckage."
Now this seems entirely plausible as there were over 100 AIDS experts on
that plane who were travelling to a conference in Melbourne (btw: it is
a tragedy that immensely adds to the tragedy/crime that many of the
world's leading HIV experts are now dead).
Girkin/Strelkov was probably confused by what he found in the wreckage.
This said, his is quite the outlandish conspiracy theory. Perhaps the
guy is beginning to lose it...
