Ukraine Rebel Leader: Malaysian Plane was Full of Already Dead Bodies

The article offers this evidence for the missiles having been fired by
Ukraine troops:

-----------------

"Regarding the shoot-down of the Malaysian jetliner on Thursday, *Iā€™m told
that* some CIA analysts *cite U.S. satellite reconnaissance photos *suggesting
that the anti-aircraft missile that brought down Flight 17 was fired by
Ukrainian troops from a government battery"

1. Reporter "was told" by third party (not even vaguely sourced) about
"some CIA analysts" think Ukraine troops shot missile.

------------------

*According to a source briefed on the tentative findings*, the soldiers
manning the battery appeared to be wearing Ukrainian uniforms and may have
been drinking, since what looked like beer bottles were scattered around
the site. But the source added that the information was still incomplete
and the analysts did not rule out the possibility of rebel responsibility.

2. Is this the same source, and is this an elaboration of point #1 above?
In other words, do the satellite photos mentioned above show soldiers in
Ukraine uniforms and scattered beer bottles at that government battery? If
these two points (#1&2) are not from the same source, this is the sloppiest
reporting ever. If they are thesame, a smoking gun won't stay hidden long.

Question: How many Ukraine-manned missile sites are there in this border
region?

---------------------

You do know about the rebel website that initially claimed responsibility
for the missile strike, but which was later erased after it was learned
that the hit was a Malaysian passenger airplane?

The leader of the pro-Russia rebel group that controls the area where
Malaysia Airlines Flight 17 crashed on Thursday reportedly posted a warning
on social media just as news about the commercial jet was breaking.

"We did warn you ā€” do not fly in our sky," it reportedly said.

According to Mashable,
<http://mashable.com/2014/07/17/malaysia-airlines-ukraine-russia-rebel/> Igor
Gorkin, also known as Igor Strelkov, said that "a plane has just been
downed" on VK.com, Russia's Facebook-like social network, around the same
time that Flight 17 went missing.

Strelkov "deleted the post when he found out it was actually a commercial
jetliner carrying 295 innocent people ā€” not a military aircraft," Mashable
reported.

With both the rebels and Ukrainian government casting blame in the other
direction over the crash that appears to have killed 295 people, Strelkov's
social media post appeared to be a clue about what really happened.

But then the story became more muddied. The rebel group told BuzzFeed
<https://twitter.com/maxseddon/status/489819271632281600> that the social
media profile being cited was "a fake made by fans" of Strelkov.
