Dear Plisters

i confess to being somewhat disappointed with the Will Farrell / real
world bits of the film. Are there actually people who glue their Legos
together and thus eliminate all future creativity? It seemed a rather
pat scenario, very Disney. But the animated parts were totally worth
it, Emmett is an everyman for all time (Here Comes Emmett!) and the
willingness to stare directly into the ridiculous omphalos and laugh
at it seemed eminently redemptive. Also, girls: Batman is no great
shakes as a boyfriend, cool as his car may be.

A-and the soundtrack is by Devo's Mark Mothersbaugh. What more can you ask for?
