All as transparent as walking in sunlight. 

Spying in history is caught being institutionalized in AGAINST THE DAY. 

Treat yourself to a reading (or rereading/watching) of MEASURE FOR MEASURE, with the spying Duke, a play which gave TRP his mortality  & Mercy title.
