Youth is Wasted on us all. It's a perfect problem for Pynchon, an American
author who sees in the young American, both the
Counter culture, to the post war American dream, and the built in
transience of forever young's fear, of growing up, giving up on youthful
Idealism, becoming them, being countered, growing old...and dying.
