Audiobook recommendations?

Here's my list of good fiction audiobooks, listened to in last year. The last one is not strictly fiction, but it crosses the divide, between that and non-fiction, often enough to qualify.

Against the Day, COL49, Thomas Pynchon

2666 & The Savage Detectives, Roberto Bolaño

Elizabeth Costello, The Childhood of Jesus, Life and Times Michael K, Disgrace, J.M. Coetzee

Bring Up the Bodies, Hilary Mantel

The Last Thing He Wanted, Joan Didion (there's a whole bunch of her books released since 2013, inc. Slouching Towards Bethlehem read by Dianne Keaton

The Museum of Innocence, Orphan Pamuk

Underworld, Don Delillo

Alone in Berlin, Hans Fallada

The Secret History, Donna Tartt (also read by DT). The Goldfinch was also excellent, read by David Pittu.

Autobiography, Morrissey

Most of these were read entirely on audiobook, with some sections read in print. Some were older books I hadn't finished and wanted to read again (Underworld). Some were books I had read before but wanted to hear again, this was especially the case with The Secret History, where I just wanted to hear it read by the author.

Since it was so short, I listened to COL49 a couple of times. Well worth it. And will probably listen to AtD again later this year when I drive down to the South Island (NZ). The story and the delivery are perfect complements to a long drive (24 hours each way).

About to embark on GR via audiobook (also supplied along with AtD by a P-lister), print, and Weisenburger's Guide, and his new book.

For a couple of hours a day, every day, I get to walk my dogs. During this time I listen to one or other audiobook. This is some of the best time in my day, apart from when I am writing.
