New 9/11 Museum

I wonder the continued fascination of the macabre related to 9/11 as
embodied in the new museum downtown with its twisted girders, burnt flags,
dusty and ripped fire engines and airplane parts; it all seems so strange
this continued picking at invisible wounds and fear. one cant help think of
Godzilla destroying NYC in the new upcoming movie but much of Hollywood has
re-hashed that horror into entertainment again and again since. guess I'
was hoping for a small somber place to reflect on the violence (above and
beyond 9/11) and senseless death meted out by human beings; how much more
powerful these small pictures of the dead. lumps of inanimate are just
that. what will people think looking at such things 100 yrs from now if NYC
is actually underwater by then (actually that might give it the power it
needs--as they are now, an aircraft engine is just an aircraft engine)
