So it was "Post WW II history" you were talking about. Good to know.

I hesitatingly put forth the idea that -- maybe, perhaps, and certainly 
by a long stretch, pardon the thought --  WW I and WW II should also 
play a role when one is about to assess the history of relationships 
between Germany and Russia.
