What World Leader Has Done the Most Damage to the Global Economy?

Isn't there something absurd in the fact that Americans keep slapping
the Germany leader for her pragmatic approach to the bloated welfare
state?

Sure, spending, not austerity is the way out of EU
depression/recession, or, in Germany's case, a weak and weakening
economy, but the problem the German's face is far more complex than
the "Stop this Depression" crowd, led by an American economist
(Krugman) are willing to admit.

Structural changes have to be implemented if long term sustainable
growth is ever going to get started.

More debt, deficit spending, essentially defaults, are only going to
keep things as they are. Of course, that is exactly what European
want, if their votes say anything about what they want, not growth,
but the welfare state status quo.

Also, the American led sanctions on Russia appear to be hurting
Germany more than other EU countries. In a few months we will have a
clearer picture, but the current manufacturing and industrial figures
seem highly correlated with the declines where the sanctions are
imposed.

The German leader needs to take a page from Clinton's book and feel
the pain while ending welfare as they know it.
