Off Topic, but a creation of my own...

Thanks, Dave!
Well, for those who are interested, here are the short films I've been
a part of over the last few years (just under a decade). It's not
exactly a vast body of work, and some of it is rather shoddily put
together due to the circumstances of their creation (explanations
below).
In Summer, 2007, my friend and writing partner Marc Roussel and I
entered the Mobifest "Caught on Camera" contest for best short film
shot entirely on mobile phones. Our entry, which was titled "Alchemy",
won first place! You can see the film here:

In late October of the same year, Marc and I (and a team of five
others) entered the Toronto 24 Hour Film Challenge, during which we
had to write, shoot, edit and create the music for a 5 minute horror
film in LESS THAN 24 HOURS! Out of over a hundred participating teams,
only 40 managed to finish their films on time. Our film, "Sweet
Tooth", came in 3rd according to the judges - winning us thousands of
dollars worth of movie equipment rental vouchers - and we also won the
Audience Favorite Award at the gala event where all the competing
films were screened... which we were very happy about, seeing as it
turns out that the two films that "beat" us were created by friends of
the judges, by teams who had won pretty much all the previous contests
(of which there had been about a dozen over a fix year span)!
Here's a link to the finished film (fair warning - we wrote and shot
it in a day, so it's kinda rough):

After "Sweet Tooth", Marc used the prize vouchers to shoot "Remote",
which has won multiple awards over the last couple years. I had a very
minor role in "Remote", but it's still very much worth watching.

And here is the entire film

About a year and a half later, Marc asked me to come up with a story
for a crime comedy short, so I wrote the story for "The Elusive Man",
which Marc then scripted and directed with another partner, Mark
Sanders.
Here's a trailer I helped cut (I prefer it to the movie!):

And here is the whole film:

After "Elusive Man" won a bunch of awards, we were approached by a
producer who wanted us to create a short film centered on the song
"Sweetest Hippopotamus" by one of her performers, named Suitcase Sam
(who just happened to be the producer's son). He sings in the style of
Leon Redbone and Doctor John - Louisiana style slow-and-easy Blues.
It's not my cup of tea, but he's a nice enough guy, and we constructed
a little story to go around his song. We secured BravoFACT funding for
the project, for which I wrote the narration and dialogue. You can
watch the movie here:

Strangely enough, Sweetest Hippopotamus was chosen to be one of four
nominees for Best Canadian Short Film of 2012 by the Director's Guild
of Canada! We didn't win, but BravoFACT was so happy about the
nomination that we got the maximum possible funding for our next
project, The Last Halloween, many of you have already watched on
Youtube:

We're currently working on a bunch of new projects so please keep your
fingers crossed for us!
Sincerely,
Mark Thibodeau
