The news on Shakespeare is that he continues to humble us and play that old
mirror trick, holding the glass up to our ignorance and our desperate and
insatiable desire to know.
Shakespeare on his knees in the alley...with his Sheridan's Emancipation,
his pointed shoes, his pipe in his mouth and his tinker bells...
