I love the fact that a Grad Student is challenging the book, that the
author is engaging the Grad Student, that it started online, with a blog
posting. I read most of the book, in English. Some of it is worth skipping
or skimming but not reading, not for me, but I doubt this book will prove
to be all that important. In any event, housing is a tricky foundation for
analysis as it is, especially in the residential market, irrational,
inefficient, unprofessional, and, technically neither an asset nor an
investment. As to labor, robots, productivity....we will need to see what
happens there. Right now the central banks are delaying the inevitable
crisis in labor, but it will need to be restructured, by the political
leaders, sooner or later.
