Interesting article. AtD was my introduction to Pynchon (not counting lot
49 in HS because I don't call glancing at all the words "reading"). Was
taking a complex analysis course at the time and the professor said
something like, "you can read the new Pynchon novel and write an essay on
quaternions for extra credit." I was too dumb to realize it was a joke but
I'm glad for it.
