NP - The Leftovers

I've managed to miss the whole McCarthy thread so I need to backtrack,
nonetheless I heartily recommend a reading of Suttree Laura. I can
understand Blood Meridian leaving a reader cold and out of all his work I
find B.M the most taxing. I should elucidate, but time is against me (or my
brain). Suttree is for me utterly mesmerizing. The prose beautiful, apart
from M&D, Suttree has my favourite opening paragraph from anything I've
read. I couldn't put it down. Right, I must go and read the email thread.
